Sinem was born in Ankara, Turkey, and studied English Linguistics before taking up photography and working as a film director.

Her short film "Sundown/Günbatımı" (2015) was among the Official Selection in many festivals around the world, and the third-place winner in the Sunset Film Festival, Los Angeles.

Later she directed many well-known and admired TV commercials. Sinem with her strong eye captured realistic and emotional films, and made commercials in documentary-style, especially containing human stories, which have deemed worthy of many awards.
