Mehmet AKSIN - DOP
Born in İstanbul, 1968.
Graduated from Cinema-TV section of Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul.
Started his DOP career in TV commercials in 1992 after four years of camera assistant work.
Lived in Moscow in 1994-97, worked for French TVs and Canadian CBC as a reporter-cameraman.
1992 first full-length feature film as a DOP: ‘On Board’, selected in ‘Critics Week’ in Cannes Film Festival.
1999-2002 worked as a DOP in various shorts films in France.
Giving lighting, film shooting and post-production technics lectures in Cinema-TV section of Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul since 2006.
He is fluent in French, English.
