Devrin Usta has completed his double major in Radio TV Film and Photography at the University of North Texas in Denton Texas, U.S.A in 1997, before studying 1 year of Jazz Drums in Music Department.
Devrin Usta started his career as an Inferno Artist after completing a course of Discreet Logic for compositing and creating 2D motion graphics for commercials and feature films in 1998. He has changed his path becoming a director and shot numerous music videos for Turkish bands, as well as for foreign artists, Fredrika Stahl of Sony Music, EMI and Universal Music.
He has directed TV commercials for international brands, Crate&Barrel, MiniCooper, Fox TV, Nivea, FashionTV, Turkish Airlines, working with global agencies, Publicis, BBDO, TBWA, Saatchi. He shot a documentary about infantile Paralysis and Passion for Music in Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa for THY, which won him an official screening at LAIFF Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
His enthusiasm still grows on Cinema Verité documentary, creative commercials and playing drums :)
