Firat Mancuhan

Firat was born in 1981 in Ankara. He moved to Istanbul in 1993 to study at Robert College on a scholarship. 


The film-lit classes, and the availability of a dark room there, introduced him to

black and white photography and cinema at a very young age. 


After high school he studied at the Visual Communications Design Department of Bilgi University and the Cinema-Tv Department of Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty.


His 2008 short film “SAPAK” won several awards in festivals worldwide.


In 2009 he began his career as a commercial director. Since then, he has directed over 200 commercials.


He lives in Istanbul with his wife and 2 children.
